What to Bring for Uni for First Years

It is not long until many first year students set off for uni, and for most this will be the first time living independently from home. This is an exciting time, and it can also be stressful, as there is a lot to think about as well as a lot to pack!

Here are some of the things that you should remember to put on your uni packing list…

Homely Stuff – You want to make yourself at home, so as well as the practical things like bedding and towels, you will probably also want to bring a few things to decorate the place and make it feel your own. Posters, photographs of friends and family and special trinkets and ornaments from home are all good things to bring with you to help you make your space truly feel like home.

Tech – Of course you will want to take a laptop with you as this comes in handy for keeping in touch with home as well as being useful for work. If you need a new laptop and are on a budget, refurbished laptops like this www.refurbishedlaptops.co.uk/ are a great option.

In addition to a laptop, you may also want to bring portable speakers, and of course your phone – just remember to bring the chargers too!

Clothing – Going off to uni is a good reason to get some new things for your wardrobe. Practical clothing for the day, as well as a few things for those fun nights out are good to bring with you. Also remember to bring coat hangers so that you can store them all when you arrive!
